I really want to get signed. I'm looking for a record label. I want a manager and an agent and anything that can help me get my music out there. These days it is so hard to get any of that...
you want to be MADE . Rather than wait to be discovered. Get some books and do some research and learn to be your own manager agent and producer.
Then get your self making LIVE music and then into the studio .
Once you can sell 50 copies of your music you can get an independent label to support you (assist you) then once you sell 5,000 records any mid sized to larger indy label will work with you. Then if you sell 50,000 you will be approached by a major label. And then you can write/negotiate your own deal and will be in a position to actually benefit from a large rec deal.
At a small level it doesnt help to have all the hype cause ya still need to cover all the ground work leading up to it.
Brittney Spears has been in the business 10 years before making her first record. And we all think (even she) she blew up over night. And it still killed her sanity. Take your time dont sell your soule super fast. haha.
Thanks for the advice. The problem is I don't have the money to support myself going into the studio. It's also really hard to make money making live music when you go to boarding school. Believe me, I've thought of all this. It would be great if I could do all that. The most I can do right now is make my simple self recorded demos and send them off in hope of being discovered..It's really ok for now though.
